Synopsis

In the era of globalization, science has expanded and become more technological and sophisticated, requiring researchers to exercise greater epistemological rigor in combining theory and method.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, science once again demonstrated to the world that technological innovations applied to research and development have the potential to contribute to the improvement and expansion of life. In this context, the social function of science and its research problems were highlighted, suggesting to researchers that science must serve society.
