Synopsis

With the publication of this e-book we conclude the final stage of the IV SGFNE. This publication was composed of the 61 Expanded Abstracts registered in the 9 Thematic Axes and accepted by the Scientific Committee of the event.

This E-Book presents a significant diversity of works, which have a wide range of themes and approaches, reflecting the rich regional production in Physical Geography. For these reasons, we invite readers to access this book and, through the summaries, become aware of such diversity and richness.

Author Biographies

Isorlanda Caracristi, Universidade Estadual Vale do Acaraú (UVA)

Graduated (Bachelor) in Geography from the State University of Ceará (1987) – UECE and PhD in Geography (Physical Geography) from the University of São Paulo (2007) – USP. She developed a Post-Doctoral Internship at the Laboratory of Geographical Climatology and Water Resources (LCGRH) of the Department of Geography at the Federal University of Ceará – UFC. Associate Professor at the State University Vale do Acaraú (UVA). She was Deputy Coordinator of the Academic Master's Degree in Geography at UVA (MAG-UVA) and is part of the permanent faculty, in addition to collaborating with the UECE Graduate Program (PROPGEO) at the State University of Ceará. She coordinates the Environmental Studies Laboratory (LEA) and the Research Group “Geographical Studies of Environmental Systems and Intraregional Climates”. She is the editor of the Magazine of the House of Geography of Sobral (RCGS).

PhD in Geography from the Federal University of Ceará - UFC (2012), with a Post-Doctorate in Geography (Environmental Education applied to Territorial Management in Riverside and Coastal Communities) from the Federal University of Ceará - UFC (2014). Graduated in Geography / Full Degree from the Federal University of Ceará - UFC (1994), Specialization in Botany from the Federal University of Ceará - UFC (1994), Academic Masters in Geography from the State University of Ceará - EUCE (2004). CNPq Researcher, Leader of the Research Group Planning and Management in Hydrographic Basins. He is currently an Adjunct Professor K at the Universidade Estadual Vale do Acaraú – UVA with experience in Geosciences, with an emphasis on Geomorphology, working mainly on the following topics: Watersheds, Environment, Environmental Degradation, Environmental Planning and EIA/RIMA. Professor and Advisor of the Academic Master's Degree in Geography at the State University Vale do Acaraú – UVA.

Post Doctor in Geography from the Federal University of Ceará/UFC, Doctor in Geography from the University of São Paulo/USP and Master in Geography from the University of Uberlândia/UFU (MG). He is an associate professor of the Geography course. He is currently a Permanent Professor and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Geography (Academic Masters) – MAG at the State University of Vale do Acaraú / UVA. He coordinates the Semi-Arid Research and Extension Laboratory and the Research Group: Research and Extension in the Semi-Arid Region (DGP / CNPq) and is a member of the Research Chamber of the Pro-Rectory of Graduate Studies and Research at UVA.
