History, Spaces and Sensitivities
Keywords:
History, Spaces, HistoriographySynopsis
Book with articles presented at the VI International Seminar on History and Historiography. The works gathered here were part of the Thematic Symposiums “History and sensibility: policies, writings and affections”, “History, cities and practices in/of space” and “For the right to the city: living and feeling the history and memory of urban spaces in Brazil Republic”. Themes and dimensions with which contemporary historiography has been working assiduously – the layers of time, the role of memory in the construction of identities, space as an expression of social relations, everyday life and its unauthorized cultural creations, the effects of meaning produced by writing – crosses the studies of this book, suggesting that, like other important initiatives, it may become a document for future historiographical investigations.
