Synopsis

Santa Cruz in the territorial context of Paraíba is the result of an aspiration to pay homage to Santa Cruz and its people, conditioned by Geography, through the genetic complexity that is dedicated to studying the determining processes that establish the essence of a place that is formalized as a city, from its municipal political emancipation. In this context, considering the municipalities, states and the union as federative entities of Brazil, that is, political units that act in the territory, we present Santa Cruz as a political unit, inserted in the state of Paraíba, Northeast macro-region of Brazil. Its peculiarities define it as a municipal territory, arranged by its natural conditions that determine the activities that develop there, marked by the absence or presence of water, an essential element for life, which regulates human performance.
