Synopsis

Cerol e Navalha is, first and foremost, a manifesto. A manifesto that is born from the constant search and struggle for personal expression and affirmation and, like a river that meets another river, converges in the various manifestations of collective expression. Thus, expanding in precedence and resonance with what is yet to come. Cerol e Navalha, now in its book version, represents the materialization of the transformative power of the encounter. The words planted here were once silenced voices, which were once mutilated thoughts, which were once something strange, unknown, felt in every part of our body-home, but which found its way to the seed-letters, became words and transformed them. yourself in this beautiful, sharp and thunderous-poetic-floating-forest, which can now fly, land and pollinate other lives. These lives are almost always victims of the torn-up knife of “non-Being” and not belonging.

Author Biographies

Kieza Fran Nascimento

Born in Sobral, CE, she is a poet and cultural producer active since 2015. Recognized in the Ceará slam scene, she co-founded Slam da Quentura and the Slam Ceará network, of which she is one of the coordinators, together with Coletivo Fora da Métrica. As the creator of Produção de Perifa, she promotes training in cultural production for people from the peripheries, seeking inclusion and recovery through writing. Awarded the Pretas Potências Award in 2023 by Preta Hub and the Ministry of Culture, her work revolves around promoting art and culture, in addition to managing the careers of artists and independent cultural spaces.

Lílian Silva

Daughter of Maria and Eneas, born in Coelho Neto/MA and raised in Sobral/CE since 2001. Cis woman, black, poet, cultural producer and also a psychologist graduated from UFC-Sobral. Throughout her literary-poetic career she participated in the Slam da Quentura and Slam das Cumadi, in the city of Sobral / CE; having been champion in the 34th Edition. She has Literature as a place for her thoughts to overflow. In cultural production he started in 2022, as a student of the Perifa Production and Social Media project of Slam CE 2022. In 2023, the streams continued as Production Assistant for the Quarantena de Cinema, Cerol e Navalha, Slam CE 2023 projects, as well as integrating the Executive Production team from Agência Perifériques and the team of teachers from the Produção de Perifa project.
