Synopsis

“Under the Cajueiro” is the anthology that brings together poets from all regions of Ceará, just as the cashew juice taught them, where each poem reflects the poets’ dreams, lost loves, their audacity and renewed hopes. It is a celebration of the diversity of experiences and perspectives that enrich this existence. This book is a testament to the power of poetry to unite communities, preserve memories, and inspire the future. May each poem be an open window to a world of imagination and reflection.

Author Biographies

Djavam Damasceno

Master in linguistics from the Federal University of Ceará, he is a doctoral student at the same institution and is part of the UFC Semiotic Studies Group (SEMIOCE). He is particularly interested in the discursive practices of experimental poetry in the second half of the 20th century and in the dialogue between semiotics and literary discourse. He is the author of two poetry books: Untitled (A literação, 2017) and Um bird and other names (Editora Fictícia, 2023).

Douglas la Divina

Poet, flamenco player, criollo guitarist, queer performer, conductor, cultural producer and music degree student at the Federal University of Ceará. Also studying Literature - German at UFC (not completed) in 2013 to 2015. With provocative and nonsense writing, he seeks to write about wanting to be plural. As a musician, with a strong influence from gypsy music, criolla guitar, the flamenco touch and true Brazilian popular music, he makes a sound in search of theoretical novelties, mixed a little with a queer essence. Founding member of Coletivo Orin (2023), Host of the OrinCast Podcast (2023) and creator of Fanzine Orinzine (2023).
