About the Press

SertãoCult Publishing House was founded in 2014 in Sobral, Ceará, with the goal of promoting a closer relationship between academic production and the general public, based on the idea of facilitating access to the publishing market, with a pricing policy based on the needs of authors. This is possible due to our concern in seeking the best, most flexible and highest quality suppliers, whether nationally or internationally, in order to obtain greater margins of discounts for our customers, without compromising the fulfillment of established deadlines.

For us, “being so cult,” pardon the pun, means valuing the production and dissemination of knowledge. We believe that knowledge without dissemination is a waste. By disseminating their production through publications aimed at the general public, researchers fulfill their social role, giving back to the community and acting in favor of cultural development, in addition to allowing new research to be developed, inspired by their discoveries, taking a step forward in the process of knowledge production.

The initial idea was to show that scientific knowledge should not be geographically concentrated in a specific editorial area, but that there is quality production in our region that deserves investment and that, if properly disseminated, is indeed of interest to the reading public.

Over time, the idea expanded and today, in addition to scientific production, SertãoCult has begun to support the publication of unpublished literary works by authors who, otherwise, would have difficulty realizing the dream of disseminating their stories.

This is SertãoCult, a company from the Northeast that, like these people, is above all strong. It shows that behind the difficulties and apparent aridity of our backlands, there are countless beauties and great wealth. After all, at the sign of the first rains, our land turns green. In the same way, we believe that with minimal investment and encouragement, the stories and tales that we help to tell can contribute greatly to Brazilian science and culture.

Mission: to enable authors of the most diverse profiles to publish their works in a quick, practical, and economically fair and accessible manner and make them available to their audiences.

Vision: to be a publisher recognized as a partner of its authors and that allows readers access to works that would often not find editorial space.

Values: quality, innovation, responsibility, honesty.
